CALIFORNIA’S SUPERBLOOM

April 5, 2017

I’ve been spending every weekend cooking and baking to try and monetize my cooking blog, The Chef Charette and it’s honestly gotten reaaaally exhausting (purchasing ingredients, experimenting, holding reflectors and reshooting over and over again) – it’s been killing my back and it sucks that I have to stay in to shoot photos when the sun is at its best. Luckily one of my best friends from USC, Christine brought up the idea of driving down to check out the Superbloom before everything goes out, which forced me to give up a day of cooking/baking (thank God?).  The superbloom is a burst of wildflowers and poppies throughout So-Cal because of the unusual amount of rain we’ve received from December to February (yes, that crazy ass storm) This is one example of when the iPhone clearly beats my SonyA6000. Thank you Christine for the photo!
